Starter set · open the wrap at the hotel dresser

A charm set is a starter plus a few faces that name this week: citrus, flamingo, a lake, a letter. It waits in a hotel drawer or it goes home in a carry-on. This guide is the gift as an object you can wear, not a counter with a printed listing.

Size the wrist, then pick the faces

One face that holds the week.

James Avery’s public charm-bracelet guide asks you to measure just below the wrist bone and add one inch so hanging pieces have room. Women’s lengths commonly run 6½ to 7½ inches, with 7 inches the most used. If you already know the number, send that number. If you are gifting into a week you have not measured, 7 inches with the extra inch of ease is the public convention, not a promise about one person’s wrist.

Three to five faces is enough. Citrus, flamingo, lake. A Florida outline and two letters. Enamel if you want color that will need a dry drawer. A bag charm if the gift is for a tote zipper. Leave licensed park marks off the list. City faces are the gift we actually write.

Hotel welcome

A set that meets someone at an International Drive, Lake Buena Vista, or Kissimmee hotel is a parcel question for that front desk. Many properties hold guest mail for registered names. Confirm first. Guest name and arrival date on the label. The pouch goes in the drawer, away from the bathroom lotion, with a note that the lobster is the closer and the rings are the hang.

A send-off through MCO belongs in a carry-on. Include a soldered spare ring. Include pliers only if the recipient still has to hang the faces. Do not add a second lobster to a starter that already closes. Downtown send-offs look different from I-Drive send-offs: a lake plate for a Winter Park dinner, a flamingo for a last breakfast on the strip. Name the scene when you write.
